Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the State of Qatar
Vladimir Titorenko, born 1958.
Graduated with honors from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations in 1981. Holds a Professor of Political Sciences and PhD in History.
Dr. Titorenko is the author of more than 40 scientific works in different Russian and Foreign journals on the Middle East, Gulf and Islam and of monograph “The forming of the Egypt foreign policy after G.A.Naser (1970-1993)”.
Speaks Arabic, English and French.
Dr. Titorenko began his diplomatic career in 1981 and occupied various positions at the Ministry of Foreign Affaires of the Russian Federation and abroad.
1994-1999 – Minister Plenipotentiary of the Embassy of the Russian Federation to Iraq.
1999-2002 – Principal Counselor, Deputy Director of the Middle East and Northern Africa Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affaires of the Russian Federation.
2002-2003 – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Iraq.
2003, July-December – Ambassador at large of the Ministry of Foreign Affaires of the Russian Federation.
2003-2007 – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Algeria.
2007-2009 – Deputy Director of the Department on New challenges and Threats of the Ministry of Foreign Affaires of the Russian Federation.
On the 9th of November 2009 Dr.Titorenko was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the State of Qatar.
Awarded “The Order of courage”, “The Emperor Order of St.Nickolas for military merits” and the honorary diploma of the Minister of Foreign Affaires of the Russian Federation.
